Play the Descent saga as never before! This is the definitive way to play Descent, Descent II and Vertigo.
This mission and mod tries to unify and bring a bit of coherence to the Descent series as a whole.

You'll able to play all your usual Parallax-made levels from First Strike, Counterstrike and Vertigo
within a single mission file, but expect a couple of changes that makes of them a full unified experience.

You'll also encounter some 'new' but familiar foes that also 'glue' the entire narrative of the Descent universe. ;)

There are also some interesting easter-eggs and cameos in the Saturn levels and the last levels of Counterstrike
and Vertigo, as well as a custom ship for all of the Vertigo levels. Will you be able to spot them all?

If you're a fan of Descent, Descent II (and perhaps even Descent 3 and Overload) this mission is a must play for sure!

This mission is meant to be played with the latest D2X-Redux and D2X-Rebirth versions, it won't work properly
in any other version or sourceports out there, but you can try if you are so inclined to.

Features exit sequences for all levels, custom textures, properly working secret levels, complete MIDI soundtrack,
briefing scenes and a couple of re-balanced weapons to get better gameplay (i.e. unnerfed fusion and spreadfire, 
couple of stats changed for both robot and player weapons, etc). The textures on many of the Descent 1 levels
were changed to better reflect their real-life astronomical locations.

You'll also find an optional .DXA file that includes the pitch-fixed sounds from Xfing's UUD2TP patch,
some high-color sprites (taken from SaladBadger high-color pack) and a couple of custom weapon
blobs to get an even richer experience.
Put the "fllstrke.dxa" file in your main Redux/Rebirth or game data folder to enable it.

The 3D models for the Saturn level cameos were originally made by Hunter and adapted to Descent II by me.
Other models ripped from the Descent series in general were also adapted by me.
