WHO AM I?

Hello everyone, let’s present myself.
My name is Rubén and my nickname on both the Internet and within family and friends is Pumo.
I’m also known as R.a.M. Land, which is my artistic name as a music composer / producer.

I’m a guy from Mexico who loves the Descent videogame series (originally released for MS-DOS and Windows 95) and also the main developer of Pumo Mines and the webmaster of Pumo Software.
I also develop and mantain some other personal projects either related to gaming or the fictional universe and lore of the Pumo Software universe that I’ve been creating throughout the years.

I also love computers and tech stuff, many videogames besides Descent, Anime and Manga, Waifus, all kinds of music of all genres, musical keyboards, synthesizers, Asian culture and cheese. :9

So in case you want to know a bit more about me, I’m a Mexican web developer as well as an industrial tech engineer within the textile industry and a music composer. 🎹🎶

I’m also an eclectic Buddhist (lay follower, not a monk of course) or Upasaka, not stritctly attached to any particular school of thought or lineage. Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana teachings are all welcome. ☸️📿

PUMO SOFTWARE'S GOAL

Why and how Pumo Software was created

The idea and concept of Pumo Software was to create an hypothetical and kind of parody software brand for all of my personal storm of ideas and projects I wanted to make with my computer, mainly videogame related stuff.

Eventually it occurred to me that I could use that ‘brand’ name for my own website and personal hub on the internet to show and make my ideas and projects available to the world.

As a big fan of the Descent game series my ideas and most of Pumo Software content is related to the Pumo Mines project, but as a music composer/producer and RPG Maker user I am also integrating content related to the Greatest Odyssey and R.a.M. Land.

Thanks to those projects I have created a complex fictional world full of stories and lore for both the Pumo Mines and Greatest Odyssey projects that is interconnected in what I call the ‘Pumosoft Universe’. Many (although not all) of my musical works, original art (2D or 3DCG), stories and videogame projects are a part of the Pumosoft Universe in some way or another, forming my own creative ‘Galaxy of Gaming Dreams and Tales’.

On the other hand this is my small personal space where you will also find some content related to my hobbies, tastes and personal experiences, being through the blog or through some of the assorted miscellaneous sections.

With that being said, the main goal of Pumo Software is to bring fun and to show my creative ideas for everyone in the world to enjoy!
