Who is helping to make Pumo Mines?

Pumo Mines is an ambitious project that I (Pumo) started many, many years ago.
Although (unfortunately) it’s not finished yet, it always was a very personal endeavor and something I’ve initially started to make on my own as a hard-core Descent fan.

However on more recent years and thanks to the great and friendly Descent community, many people has been contributing to the project and has helped in some way or another in making this dream come true.

So, who is helping and contributing to this project?
Here is detailed info about who has helped to the project and how.
Even if some of the assets or work from the contributors has not been published yet, they are already an integral part of Pumo Mines and its overall structure.

Every other level shell and design featured in Pumo Mines is made by me (Rubén Acevedo a.k.a. ‘Pumo’).

Note that all of the levels and pieces made by all of these different authors are used with explicit permission.
Each of the authors has been contacted directly by me usually via E-Mail or Private Messaging in different Descent communities.

3D model assets

Although all robot models and the Orbit XC ship model are made by me (Pumo), there has been some invaluable help from other 3D artists that have contributed to the Pumo Mines project with some 3D assets as well.

3D artists:

  • Rubén Acevedo (a.k.a. ‘Pumo’)
  • MetalBeast
  • Frustikus
  • Blarget

3D works:

Modeled and textured by me (‘Pumo’) over the base models of the original D2X-XL 3D Weapons made by ‘MetalBeast’

Textures

Although most of the textures used in Pumo Mines are based on the original D1, D2 and D3 textures just resized and with some added layers, there are a lot of new and original textures made by me (Pumo) and other authors.
Many of them are based on textures that I’ve found scattered in the Internet while others are based on the D2X-XL High Resolution packs made by Novacron, Maaspuck , DizzyRox, Theftbot, Weyrman , Aus-RED-5, Metalbeast, and Irontower.

(Irontower‘s alternative D2X-XL texture pack can be found here).

Some post-work is added to many of the D2X-XL textures that are being used in Pumo Mines.

And that’s the people from the Descent Community that has helped me to fulfill the needs for the Pumo Mines project.
I’m very grateful to each one of them, so rest assured that all of the works and contributions from all of these authors will not be wasted by any means. 🙂

Thanks a lot to everyone!
